Freedom from Slavery
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 NIV®
Today is Juneteenth holiday. This date was commissioned
to celebrate the slaves in Texas finding out that the Emancipation Proclamation
that signed 2 ½ years ago. The proclamation freed them from slavery.
There are still people today, that are not aware that
they were freed from the slavery of sin over 2000 years ago. Our Lord Jesus
Christ paid the price to free us when He died on the cross and rose three days
later. We were freed by the blood of Jesus not a signature on a piece of paper. Sin is no longer our master because Jesus is alive!
