MITES SUNDAY [EVERY 5TH SUNDAY

MITES SUNDAY [EVERY 5TH SUNDAY]

What is a “mite”? A mite is the equivalent of our “penny”… it’s money, but it doesn’t seem to “BUY” anything today. However, if those mites are collected from a group of people, and they ADD all of the mites together… those little coins make BIG THINGS HAPPEN in churches, schools, communities. Last year, Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer collected over $500 in change that was dispersed to ministry groups throughout the world. Pick up a little “MITE BOX” on the table in the narthex (under the deacons’ picture). Fill the box with change. Put the box in the wooden box on that same table, or put your change in a zip bag, and place it in our offering chest on each 5th Sunday.

August 31st is the fifth Sunday of the month.

Thank you
