 SERVICE OPPORTUNITY - KOKOMO URBAN OUTREACH MINIUP

MiniUP is made up of the youngest UP members – kids ages 3 to 9 years old. Just like the older kids, they are learning to be Respectful, Responsible, Reliable, and Ready while “working” on age- appropriate jobs like tending gardens, sweeping floors, and helping with simple tasks. After their work, the MiniUP kids eat dinner together – practicing table manners, enjoying table conversation, and often trying new foods for the first time. Recently a group from Redeemer had the opportunity to serve a meal to 50 MiniUP participants and several older kid and adult helpers. What a joy!! We enjoyed it so much we signed up to serve another meal on Tuesday, December 16 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. The meal is prepared ahead of time and taken to KUO ready to serve. Patti Stout and Teddi Heinzman will be leading this effort. More information will be coming soon about the December 16th meal.
