WHY I MENTOR
WHY I MENTOR BY BOB HINGST
“I have enjoyed mentoring a sixth grade RLS student. It's much different than being a parent-
figure because I am not responsible for discipline and other parental duties. I am free to just
be a friend and give guidance where I can. I try to give him a different perspective on life than
he may get at home, not to replace his parents but to add to what they are teaching him. It
gives me a chance to share what Jesus has done for us. In return, he has taught me more
about video games than I ever thought I'd know. Bob Hingst”
